Before accessing the Thesis Project Archive, ensure that you are connected to a Princeton University network or through Global Protect VPN. To access thesis projects throughout the years, please view the instructions below.
Recent: Look at the Thesis Sections of the student Workbook on the School of Architecture Official Website.
2000 to 2019: are located on a digital server. For access, ensure that you are connected to the eduroam network. If you are not on campus, you must connect via VPN in order to gain access. Then, follow the instructions below depending on your device.
1980s, 1990s, some 2000s: are on 35mm slides located in the archive room. For access, contact us.
1970s: Books for Thesis Projects are available in the Mudd Library and searchable in the library system.
1940 to 1960: are available in the archive room. These projects have been digitized and point to their original documentation (35mm and flat files). For access, contact us.
Accessing Student Archives

- Open Start
- Search for the Run command and click the top result to open the app.
- Type the path to the shared folder in the network: \\lowrie\ARCSHARE\Thesis Archive
- Click the OK button.
- Enter your NetID and password. If you are using a device that is not on the Princeton University domain, you will need to enter your username as:
PRINCETON\NetID
- Press OK to continue and access the archive.
- Open Start

- With a new Finder windows open, press Command+K
- In the Server Address field, type smb://lowrie/ARCSHARE/Thesis Archive and press Connect
- Enter your NetID and password if prompted.
- Continue to access the archive.
- With a new Finder windows open, press Command+K
