Enscape

Enscape is available only for current School of Architecture students. To get access to the free license, you first need to create an account with Enscape. See below for current supported CAD applications:

Ensure that GlobalProtect VPN is running and connected. Due to the recent changes in Princeton University's IT security policies, VPN is now required in order to access University resources, in this case the SoA license server. For details, visit the following page: GlobalProtect VPN Installation Instructions

Note that membership for all students are revoked at the end of the school year and students who need it will have to reapply for a license.

Download the latest version of Enscape from https://download.chaos.com/

Installation

Create an Enscape Account

Visit Enscape and create a new account using your [email protected] email address.
Once your account is created, let the SoA IT Team know by submitting the Enscape Account Notification Form.

DO NOT FORGET THIS STEP. We do not get notified by Enscape that your account has been created and we are unable to provide you with the license until then.
Once received, we will send an invitation for you to join the Enscape SoA Students Team. Ensure to check your Junk Mail folder if you do not see it in your Inbox.
Once you have joined, you can download and install Enscape.

Installing Enscape - Windows

Note that Enscape for Windows supports the following applications:

Rhinoceros 7/8
SketchUp
Revit
Archicad
Vectorworks
Follow this link for installation instructions and follow the directions under “Advanced Installation”: Enscape Installation Instructions for Windows. When installing you MUST select REMOTE under “Licensing” and enter arcwright200w:30304 into the “Primary License Server” field

Installing Enscape - MacOS

Enscape for Mac supports the following applications:

SketchUp
Archicad
Vectorworks
Rhinoceros 7 (Apple M series processors only)

Activating Your Enscape License (Windows/MacOS)

Before continuing, ensure that you have been invited and accepted to the Enscape SoA Students Team.
Enable the Enscape Toolbar in your CAD application. For details, visit the following pages:

Enable Enscape Toolbar for Rhino
Enable Enscape Toolbar for SketchUp
Enable Enscape Toolbar for Revit
Open the Enscape Account window via the Enscape ribbon in the CAD you’ve installed Enscape for. Then, click the Account button.
Uncheck the checkbox "Send Personalized Usage Data".
Enter your Enscape username and password and click on Login.
You should now have access to an Enscape floating license.
